SPARKER ... The Blog

All the news that's fit to forget about.

I finally got around to seeing Spider-Man this weekend, and I cannot say I was terribly impressed nor terrible disappointed. This is probably a good thing, since I thought the film would be the best comics-based movie since Tim Burton's Batman, and that's pretty much what it turned out to be. Sam Raimi's touch is perfect for the disorganized arial balletry that is Spidey's hallmark, and I thought Toby Macguire pulled off a perfect Peter Parker. I'm guessing Doc Oc will rear a tentacle or two for the sequel, and perhaps we'll get a little Venom action for the third.

So now I've got to get myself excited about Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which looks like it'll be a better film than the first. Here' to hope....
