SPARKER ... The Blog

All the news that's fit to forget about.

What a weekend! On Friday, I saw Paul McCartney at the Hartford Civic Center, and, on Saturday, saw the Rolling Stones at Giants Stadium. Talk about a vintage rock weekend, eh? Paul was a treat (an expensive treat, at $90 for crap seats), and he was his typically charming self, althoug the crowd was a bit on the mellow and aged side of the fence, which is to be expected when it comes to Paul. The Stones were an entirely different beast, and they blew the roof off the place (and considering Giants Stadium has no roof, that's quite an accomplishment). I'll get the Stones setlist soon, but for now, check out what Paul put on (and envy me for being witness):
