Do you ever get the sense sometimes that God may, in fact, be the wrathful, vengeful, far-right diety of the Old Testament? When things like the death of Senator Paul Wellstone happen, I wonder sometimes what string of logic our Creator is following up there. Of all the senators, why oh why did it have to be Paul Wellstone? He was the most ethical, principled politician this country's seen in a long time. If God exists, may he bless Sen. Wellstone's family...and this nation, which is only the worse off because of this loss.
