All the news that's fit to forget about.

Well, well, well. So, we're in a "GOP Nation" now. The only good I can see coming out of this is that the Republicans will most certainly fall on their faces with their out-of-touch agenda, meaning Bush's chances at a reelection have actually grown slimmer because of this terrible election.
How the hell did Coleman beat Mondale? Why oh why are Connecticut voters so stupid as to vote Rowland in for a third term? I'm starting to think most people who vote pay little attention to the news -- either that, or they're so enthusiastic over the prospect of delegating control through our psuedo-democracy that only the power freaks come out of the woodwork on Election Day -- and, of course, power freaks tend to slant toward the conservative end of the spectrum.
Anyway, theories will abound for the next few weeks over on CNN, et al, so there's no worth in adding to them. Suffice it to say, liberals have a lot of work to do over the next two years to convince disenfranchised voters that the Republicans provide little worthwhile answers to most of our problems. Maybe it's time Democrats started acting like Democrats again.
