All the news that's fit to forget about.

Call me a geek (it won't be the first time), but I just finished the best video game ever: Gabriel Knight 3. It's hardly a new game, and the Gabriel Knight series has long been popular among adventure game players (the only games I enjoy playing -- action games and RPGs just get too repetitive for me), and now I know why. I've always known that "interactive fiction" was a real possibility, and could turn out to be the future version of today's TV shows (i.e., the most popular modern medium by which most new art can find a venue) -- but this game just blew me away. It was well-research, well-written, and just plain fun to play. Kudos to its creator, Jane Jensen. I'm working on my third time round with this one, which is a first for me. If you've never played a single thing on your PC except solitare, boy are you missing out. Go out and get this game now. It's only $11.99 at E.B. Games (formerly Electronics Boutique). E-mail me and let me know what you think. I actually can't wait for the fourth installment, which should be coming out sometime in 2003 (I hope).
