And the rants go on --- below, you see I praised Colin Powell, but I've now changed my opinion of him. I now believe that he's been in league with Bush the entire time, playing the role of the dove-ish diplomat in the administration so that the "hawks" could have time to stage their invasion of Iraq. Now that it's almost ready, Powell's done a 180 and now professes the same flimsy fallacies that the rest of the Bush team have been bantering about -- most specifically, bin Laden's link to Hussein (which doesn't exist, since Iraq's government is seen as being as heretical as the US's to the eyes of Muslim extremists). It's a sad, sad state we're in.
I think Bush may go down as the worst president in American history. It'll take ten or twenty years before that soaks in to the mainstream, but the man is rolling back every bit of progress (be it social, environmental, diplomatic, etc) we've made over the past decades. Sad, sad, sad.
Time to cry and eat a donut.
