SPARKER ... The Blog

All the news that's fit to forget about.

To shut up those who crave to vilifile Gen. Wesley Clark regarding his comments about 9/11 on Meet the Press and to set the record straight, Clark never said anyone from the White House called him that day urging him to lay 9/11 on Iraq. He corrected one pundit here (as well as here, but some people (i.e., Rush Limbaugh, George Will, et al) refuse to admit that there is no mud to sling at him. Of course, there's little (yet) that Clark has said on any subject. Yet.

Yet, it goes to show how the conservatives' game works. This blog makes it even more explicit. The point: (1) Conservatives will blatantly lie in print in order to smear any Democrat, nondependant on what he or she says or what he or she does in reality, and (2) most media outlets -- including so-called leftish places as The New York Times -- will let it slide without hard research or evidence.

It's simply scary how little integrity remains in the press, how denegrated political discourse has become as a result of the commercialization of conservative thought, and how easily lies transform into truths within the corporate media mill.
