All the news that's fit to forget about.

Wow -- it's been a whole month since I last posted. I have no excuse. I'm not even working right now, nor do I have any courses anymore, so it's just a case of sheer laziness.
Anyway, I'm back, and one or two things have happened over the last few weeks. The biggest item, obviously, is Kerry's clinching the Democratic nomination. I can't believe how well the Dems have straightened out their game this year. A lot of credit can go to Howard Dean who, if anything, inspired some flame of life amongst the mess that is the Democratic Party. I've grown too pessimistic to hope Bush will lose this year -- but it looks as likely as ever. Has the American public finally woke up? I'm not going to jinx anything, so let's just hope for the best.
Also, Howard Stern has become the target of the FCC (i.e., Michael Powell), conveniently after he began bashing Bush and persuading his listeners to vote Dumbya out. You can find out more and send a letter to you congressmen to tell them to back off limiting free speech by going to www.howardstern.com.
Finally, you can listen to ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero's speech to the National Press Club regarding the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay by clicking here.
And I promise never to leave you guys hanging for so long a period ever again. I understand now how important I am.
