All the news that's fit to forget about.

Oh, and quick update on the self-publication of my Dudleytown historical/horror novel -- barring any unforeseen nuclear holocausts or brain aneurysms, the text should be available just in time for Christmas (not that I planned it that way -- it just happened as such) -- I'm thinking of boycotting Microsoft Reader on this one, because it's just waaaayyyy too cumbersome an application. However, one cool (well, sort of cool) aspect of Reader is its text-to-voice function, which provides the reader with a pleasant-sounding Hal-like computerized voice to accompany one's visual reading.
I'm only kidding. Reader stinks, and it's only one of many reasons for Bill Gates's untimely end. That cold, inhuman voice gave me nightmares for days. Just try listening to James Joyce's Ulysses on it. I dare you.
