Good ol' Pastor Deacon of the "Landover Baptist Church" had the chance to see The Village and his "review" of the film is here.

Actually, I really want to see this movie, even though M. Night Shyamalan’s last few films pretty much sucked and even though he's sadly unoriginal. Even without having yet seen it, I can glean from the movie's premise and tropes that it's a ripoff of H.P. Lovecraft.

Shyamalan puts out some entertaining pictures, but "our generation's Hitchcock" he most definitely is not.
